Novice, the very lowest of the low. but insults aside, I find it fun to experiment with a novice. Ok lets start with the equipments. since, it will only take a few level-up to equip all that is available.
Headgears: +10 Super Novice Hat (def: 4 and +1 all stats... oh yeah) +10 LORD KAHO HORN!!!!!!!
middle: anything available will do, angel or evil ears.
lower: anything available
Armor: +10 Angelic protection (def: 4 and mdef+ 20 ...this all we got)
Shield: +10 Novice shield (def: 3 and 20% resistance against all elements OH YEAH!!! except neutral AWWW....)
Garment: choose between Somber Novice Hood (def: 2 and 20% neutral resistance, can't be refined) or
+10 Novice Manteau (def: 2 and 10% neutral resistance)
Shoes: Sleipnir (HELL YEAH!) +20% max HP and MP, 15% MP recovery, MDEF+ 10, movement speed up,
indestructible and def: 5, can't be refined.
Accessories: Megingard x2 (str+ 40, mdef+ 7and def:2) and etc.
Weapons: +10 Ginnungagap (atk: 148,SHADOW property, inflicts BLINDNESS) its shadow property, so
you know whats good and bad.
+10 Star Dust Blade (atk: 140, neutral, 5% chance to stun enemy) this is your all rounder
Hypnotist's Staff (atk: 70, neutral, int+ 1 and MATK+ 25%) why put this? ill explain later.
Useful, if you have a Professor, elementing your weapon.
Types:
Melee - the classic hack and slash, put on those cards for more damage
Magic - Magic? yup, Magic, Novice can also use magic, by MAGIC SCROLLS, this little items can be useful , even for a rebirth, but sadly mostly ignored. here are the list (i will not be listing lower leveled scrolls):
Level 5 Fire Bolt (sage worm, marduk)
Level 5 Fire Ball (heater)
Level 5 Fire Wall (Marionette)
Level 5 Cold Bolt (sage worm, freezer)
Level 5 Frost Diver (Garm Baby)
Level 5 Lightning Bolt (wind ghost, owl duke, owl baron, taoist hermit, civil servant)
Level 5 Earth spike (Tengu) - you got the max level here!
Level 5 Soul Strike (Nightmare Terror, Joker, ghostring)
Level 5 Heal (evil/wicked nymph, geographer, alice)
this item's are affected by your MATK (int baby!).
Cards: its pretty easy if you think about.
Headgears: anything that gives you immunities, can't have you cursed or stunned.and Purple Maya
Armors: Taogunka is good, since you got so little HP. Ghostring is also good.
Shields: Thara frog (PVP?) alice (MVP?) or better yet, if you have those donation cards.
Garments: Raydric (pvp?) anything useful is good.
Shoes: Moonlight for speed or Amon Ra for extra protection.
Accessories: Horong (for hiding targets, you dont have AOE magic, even if you see them)
Yoyo (+1 agi and +5 perfect dodge) (+8 agi and +40 perfect dodge, if you put it all slots)
Weapons: depending on where you level-up, but get that Vadon cards ready, your going to Thor_v03 sooner or later to fill up that 999
in short: use the ones you usually used in your other characters.
and GOOD NEWS, novices level-up faster, since they have smaller EXP requirements (i level up x2 in Thor with the use of the Manual of, course)
there are no tactics here, just do what you do best!
THERE SHOULD BE A NOVICE-ONLY PVP ROOM (or a Super Novice- only pvp room also), its fun!
